Below are some pictures of my restoration project.
| Here are some "After" pictures of the restoration. |

Right (shift - 1up 3down) side view. All aluminum pieces were polished by me. |

Left (Brake) side view. Stock wheels and spokes, although they have both been
chromed. |

Left side view. Seat restoration by Sargent. All parts are original (or NOS)
except the handlebar grips, mirrors (reproductions) and the fabric and foam for
the seat. The seat frame and springs are stock. |

Tank logo - note the hand painted matching SS logo on the toolbox. Paintwork is
the stock color that was found under some pieces that had been sprayed over
with the Blue shown above. |

Body work done - view from the rear |
| Here are the "Before" shots... |

My 72 SS 350. Pretty tough condition (note dented tank, worn seat, rusted and
broken spokes, not to mention the layers of clay, rust and corrosion.....) |

Plenty of work here |

Are the heads normally black ? ...... |

This gives you a pretty good idea of the condition of the rims. Chrome was
pitted through and the spokes were beyond reuse - the ones that were still
there, that is.... |

Side View |

Disassembly begins - tank and seat off, and motor dropped. Electrics in place.
Handlebars have a hairline fracture (probably from hitting a tree) |

Front end off. No shortage of clay and rust. Note the all purpose tools in the
left side of the pic (hammer and chisel...) Amazingly all frame points were to
original specifications. |

Disassembly continues. While attempting removal, several pieces simply
deteriorated in my hands and fell off. |
